I weigh 140kgs. At my heaviest I weighed around 145kgs. I've been overweight and/or obese for most of my life. One day I looked into the mirror and hated what I saw, so I decided to change it the old fashioned way - diet and exercise. Basically I need to be healthy. I'm fairly certain my body is going to pack up on me by the time I'm 55 if I don't do something about the weight. I'm doing this for me, mostly, and also because I have a family that I love and I want to be there for them as long as I can be.
My goal over the coming year is to: 1. Build Muscle
2. Drop down to around 115kgs. More if I can.
To accomplish this I'm doing the following:
1. Eating well - Making informed & better choices about food.
2. Cardio exercise
3. Weight training
4. Cutting out processed food where I can, 5.Cutting out junk and takeaway food.
I've also made it a goal to run the city to surf next year with my wife so I'm training for that as well.
So this blog is about sharing my journey and giving encouragement to people in similar circumstances. If I can do it anyone can.
